Break a Leg Theatre is based in Gippsland and we regularly perform original works and recognised drama pieces at the Latrobe Performing Arts Centre. We are the producers of the Gippsland Theatre Festival which has run since 2005.
Our development program First Time Theatre, is an opportunity for adults who have never been on stage but always wanted to.

This fast track theatre will bring together plays from all around Australia with 10 different directors having a different eye on the show.

Brassed Off picked up 6 GAT Awards and two judges commendations as follows:

Jack was trying out for a part in a school play. He'd set his heart on being in it, though his Mother feared he would not be chosen. On the day the parts were awarded, Jack rushed up to her, eyes shining with pride and excitement. "Guess what Mum," he shouted, and then said those words that should be a lesson to us all: "I've been chosen to clap and cheer."
