July 5 – Gippsland Heritage Park (Old Gippstown)
Rehearsed play reading at Old Gippstown and a part of the Gippsland History project.
Liz Perry (GTF 2007) is directing and Jeanie Haughton is producing.

HERE, THERE AND EVERYWHERE

July 5 – Little Theatre Traralgon
“May I Introduce the Family!" with the by-line A family comedy of a different sort! A vastly different sort! Directed by Phillip Mayer

A CHORUS LINE

July 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19 (8 shows) Latrobe Performing Arts Centre
A Chorus Line tells the story of a group of performers auditioning for a Broadway show. All the performers come from different backgrounds and have varying abilities. In between learning audition moves, they each reveal their most personal stories in interviews with the director, Zach.
A Chorus Line is about hope, sex, insecurity, ethnicity, and dreaming. In the end, only eight people are chosen for the show and get to put on splendid costumes and live out their dream. (community fundraising event)

Walter Weinermann is a screenwriter fast approaching the most important deadline of his career. He’s got an hour to prepare his pitch - a 5 minute all-or-nothing gamble where he spruiks his screenplay to a panel of unlikely Hollywood financiers...... Can Walter sell his idea to this disparate group?
Is there a role for Bobby De Niro? Can he claim the Nobel Prize for Peace? And perhaps most importantly.....will he get the girl?

AN EVENING WITH ALEX BROUN

August 1 - Latrobe Performing Arts Centre
One of the world's most produced ten minute playwrights Alex has had over 30 short plays produced all over the world from South Africa to Spain in nearly 100 productions. He has also had over 20 full length plays produced across the globe as well as having two short screenplays filmed during the last twelve months. He has also twice received funding from the Australian Film Commission.

SHORT AND SWEET GIPPSLAND

August 1, 2, 3 (note date change)
10 Minute play writing workshop with Alex Broun, learn to write, produce and direct a 10 minute play. All within one weekend. 15 actors required for performance on Sunday night.
